Annoying words

A grown woman that refers to an unidentified object at "thingy".

Mothers who constantly keep repeating "Good job!" to kids. (Usually it's for something unremarkable)

I really don't mind how people talk but I don't like it when the Lord's name is taken in vain. I think most people don't know the definition of vain: without real significance, value, or importance; baseless or worthless.

I hate it when a server comes to our table and refers to us as "you guys" as in "What will you guys have to drink today?" I am NOT a guy, and am old enough to be the server's mother (or grandmother!) and would prefer to hear "What would you like to drink?" Is it just me?

I have a friend who always says "I seen it' or "I seen her' instead of 'I saw it" or I've seen her". Really bothers me, I even mentioned it to her (being a teacher, I am pretty outspoken about proper language) because it make her seem stupid and she isn't. She just laughs and says her family doesn't like it either. Is it just habit or what?
