They're talking freezing rain here. We're right on the edge, so we'll see, but it would be nice if they called school off. I have a quilt I need to get the borders on.

I guess we will be getting the weather when Michigan is done with it.

Sure hope we do get the "advertised" 6" of snowfall first. I want a (sniff) blanket for my poor little crocuses, before the temp dips to 15 again. :-(

Well, we got it....the strangest weather in a long time. First it rain, then it snowed, then sleet. And in the middle of the night Super Loud THunderstorm with lightening too. Very odd if you ask me. We woke up to ice everywhere and no school. Just hope the hubby gets to work ok :(

We were south of it, so our school wasn't canceled. Work for me, so I will have to put the borders on my quilt tonight.

You must be below Grand Rapids? I am north of Muskegon about 50 miles and we got hit hard. We really didn't need more days off, we already have to make up two other ones, now 3. :(

On Friday and Saturday everyone was wearing light jackets or no jackets at all. Was thinking of transplanting rosemary plant I received for Christmas outdoors but glad I didn't because I woke up this morning to 2" of snow and it is still coming down, glad I didn't put my boots away. Here I am in NE Pa. and we are getting bombarded with snow. Up to a foot so far and everything is shut down. Schools, businesses etc. It actually is a beautiful winter wonderland if you don't have to go out in it. I do feel for those that have to drive at thid time.

We here in the northern part of Wisconsin did not get the rain, but we got dumped on with snow and lots and lots of thunder and lighting. It is blowing so bad, that my front porch has a foot high snow drift. Thats only the second time this year for us to have a snow drift on our porch. All schools are closed for the day and the snow is not done yet either. Totals are suppose to be 14 inches when all done.
