would you buy a quilt in a JAR?

You might could even make it a "two-fer" by making a fabric lid...then once the quilt is done, the jar can be used for pins or buttons or any other notion type item in the craft room...GREAT idea!!!

At a local quilt shop they had a promotion that if you spent X amount at their shop, you got a pincushion kit in a pint jar. One of the circle pieces was put on the 2 piece canning jar lid and it was cute! I gave them back the jar when I was done as I don't can so they could use it for their next promotion.

i have seen these before and i'm sure they would sell well. personally, i don't buy kits as i prefer to select my own fabrics and blocks, but i know there are lots of quilters out there who would enjoy a quick project.
