One of the first to do when you get a burn is put ice on it so it stops the burn. The oil I would be afraid because like in the olden days when they used butter on burns it kept the heat it and actually made it worse but I never used it so I'm not sure. Aloe is great also but again it all depends on the degree of the burn. I hate burns most of all I think and I hate using a glue gun because I always and I mean always get a bad burn when I use it. I think I should not be aloud to use a glue gun lol. Hope you are feeling better.!

Again it was an iron.......clover mini iron version 2, stupidly I went to check if it was hot and badly burnt forefinger by stupidly touching metal barrel. Luckily I remembered to put in moving ice water for 30 mins rhen taped it tightly in shrinkwrap........not even a blister.

not long ago I took the coffee grounds baskets quickly out of the coffee maker. It was still full of hot water. It went all over my abdomen. The next day I couldn't go to work because I could not wear clothes. The burns were really bad. I ended up going to the ER. They had me go to the burn clinic at Children's Hospital. Had to answer a slew of questions from a few nurses. Like they thought it was abuse. I had to return 3 days in a row so they could change the dressings. And always with more questions. I guess they never thought someone could do something so stupid. Now I leave the coffee alone a good five minutes after I hear it stop gurgling.
