    There is an easy solution to fixing that plate hanger so no harm is done to the plate. Get some small tubing, like nasal canulas have and cut small sections and fit over the prongs on the plate hanger...voila, no friction to the plate again.

    Anything with birds on it wins me over. Replacements is a bit west of me in NC and my daughter worked there for a year or two. It is quite a place!!! But since you are just starting with the collection, I also would check antique stores and yard sales and even ebay. Replacements is expensive but it's more for people looking to replace one or several pieces of their good china. Good luck. I'll keep my eyes open for you.

    Great find. That is not an easy pattern to find but it will be lots of fun to look for it. I am a collector of way to many dishes!
