I do the inside. DH does the outside. He love to graden and plant. He plants everything that will grow in GA. Then we give it away to our children. He says gardening to him is sewing to me. I do pick the berries and to the perserving.

It's spring at our house, the wisteria is bloomed, the lilacs are blooming, as are the tulips, and the ants are back in the kitchen! I do have lettuce and Swiss chard that we are eating and my peas are up about a foot now.

Here are some of my tulips. I only plant red ones. We cleared out a bunch of hostas last fall and the tulips have never looked better.

We are! We are! Gardens have been raked. Mark dug in his veggie garden--he has seeds started inside. There are daffodils, hyacinths, and two trees bloomin' and more ready to pop. The horses are enjoying the new grass and I've loving the dry lanes so I can take them for walks. Gypsy and I went for 2 miles tonight.

We had such a wretched winter - of the eight bushes in front of the house, six were killed outright, one is trying to come back from the roots, and one remains. I love the looks of the tropicals, but it is cheaper in the long run to play it safe.

I made my contribution today and loved every minute of it. The birds were singing so loud it almost broke the serenity.

I have flower beds, I usually get plants given to me for Mother's Day, I don't enjoy outside work anymore, did that for years, I'd rather sew. Hubby does all the outside work. works great for me. I hate pulling weeds, we have heavy clay soil, put sand, peat moss, everything we can think of, doesn't work.

We have lots of Dogwood trees in AR. I think every yard has at least one. They don't get very big and don't last for years like other trees due to ice damage or insects. I'm having a battle with honeysuckle now. It's taking over every shrub and bush I have.

I got burned out on yard work and gardening years ago when I was married to my ex. The darling man would insist on having me plant a half acre of garden, and of course, left it all to me to water, weed, harvest and preserve. We had a huge yard too...he couldn't be bothered with it. On top of having two younguns at the time...was a lot of work...there were days on end in the fall that I didn't get more than a couple of hours of sleep because I was canning most of the night. No air conditioning, and it was too hot to can during the day...and my boys demanded attention then, along with that damn garden!

So nope! I don't want anything to do with anything like yard work! I do, however, LOVE looking at the photos of everyone else's pretty yards and gardens! :)
