Are you going to have rummage/garage sales this year?

hubby and I have been thinking about having a garage sale to get rid of some things that we don't want

he has been unemployed since July 2009 so we could use the extra $

I am planning for this Saturday, got all sorts of stuff waiting in boxes. And some furniture too. None of it will come back into the house. It is supposed to be a nice weather day, come on over.

Working on cleaning out my basement, towards a yard sale date of 4th of July weekend, all proceeds to go into saving for a mid-arm machine. Whatever doesn't sell in the yard sale will be loaded up and taken to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter Thrift Resale Shop to help support the animals. DH is making my quilt frame so maybe sometime soon I can quilt my own quilts.

Our town has a weekend in August that everyone has a yard sale. Last year..was the first time in 20 years that I had one. I had so much inventory left from my flower shop..and still have quite a bit. I made 900.00...nice chunk of change for a vacation. This year I am having another one, unloading more merchandise and have some money for our annual trip to The Outer Banks. I was thinking of displaying some of my quilts...but not at yard sale prices.

No me. We live on a side street off a side street and no one can find us.

I would suggest asking the neighbor(s) or subdivision if any one would like to set up for a yard sale. Pick a date before you ask . More people would came if more yards are participating.

I wish I could have a peaceful yardsale. Not gonna try it. My 'hood has been taken over by a faux HOA (a self started "community organization") who would probably launch a pogrom if I posted a garage sale sign.

    Can't wait to move!

Well I had my garage sale today, the vultures were hovering as we unpacked the boxes. Got rid of lots of stuff I no longer wanted, and came away with $250. So we went to Sears and bought a new dehumidifier. Money well spent.
