Are you going to plant a garden this year?

Outside I have chives, oregano, spicy basil (has small leaves first time for this type of basil), thyme, lemon thyme, sage, spearmint and chocolate mint.
I love my herb garden. Dry them for the winter months.

Once again we will plant our garden. DH had planted twice already this year but the rain just doesn't want to give us a break. I have suggested he put lifejackets on the plants before the next rain. We are hoping for tomatoes, squash, eggplant, zuchini, cantalope, blackberries, blueberries and of course my favorite the bird house gourds.

Already have one started, but discovered mites on the tomatoes yesterday. Had to organic spray today. With the bizarre weather this year - cold a few days, then real warm - heavy winds and quick hard and heavy rainfalls, I'm just hoping the plants survive! The dill is doing better than anything else.

I planted pumpkin seeds & 2 different squash today in small garden, have to try to get tomatoe, pepper & cucumber plants in tomorrow & rest of squash seeds in large garden. Have red onions that can be pulled, didn't get them last fall, did ok over winter.
Flowers all have their own beds ( lilies, iris, wisteria& daisy, rose, & misc.) they come back so no new ones this year, have to see how full they will be before adding any more.

If I do plant anything, it will be tomatoes...but I didn't have much luck the last couple of years...too hot and humid last summer, and too cool the summer before...the farmer's market always has such beautiful produce...I may just buy it there this year...maybe just have a plant of cherry tomatoes...will decide soon.

Just a few flowers on our 3' x 6' front yard. May be pansies or impatiens. Something that's low mantainence.
Now I'm laughing because I can't get my spelling of that last word close enough to where spell-check can figure out what I'm trying to write...
