    Maybe the original question meant -

    The cupboards are bare, the refrigerator and freezer are empty,
    and there are hungry kids at home to be fed?

    In which case, I probably would not have even been near the quilt shop and would have bought low-budget food to feed the family.

    I'd get the fabric. I always try to keep a can of salmon in the cabinet for salmon patties - quick and easy which gets me to the sewing room sooner to play with the new fabric. :lol: :lol:

    I wouldn't even think about it. I'd buy the fabric. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will fill anyone up. I could probably find enough loose change in my car to buy a loaf of bread. :lol: :lol:
