those danged deer. This week, they ate my holly bushes. Deer, according to what I was told, do not eat holly. Right. BEcause of them, I have fenced my veggie garden. I did learn they do not eat pumpkin, butternut squash, or zucchini, so those I can grow outside the fenced area. I also grow my berries outside the fence though sometimes the birds get them. They also leave most herbs alone.

I seem to get a new one every other day and can't wait to start them in a couple months. And I still have room for more perennials and trees so the planning process is always going... in between quilt planning, knitting, scrapbooking, ancestry, oh and some parenting in there too :)

square foot gardening by mel bartholomew (sp?) has great info and if you google square foot gardening you'll get lots of sites using his technique. also gardengirltv.com for urban gardening though I use her information in the country too. also gardensupply.com has great supplies and info on their site. Hope this helps
