WOW - what memories! Mom used one of these on top a coke bottle filled with water - sprinkle clothes, roll up, let set a few minutes as other pieces of clothing are sprinkled, then iron the clothes., - before irons had a water reservoir. If the clothing is not ironed right away, they will get moldy! I found that out the hard way as a teen - sprinkled my clothes, forgot about it, days later had to rewash & hope to be rid of the spots on the clothes LOL
