I call CA home and love it. Yes, there is plenty to be upset about but I think the good far outweighs the bad.

We used to be proud to be from Wisconsin, but the Gov has
    ruined the State of WI.

I am unfortunately not so proud of CA, the state I was born in and still live in.

California is one of the highest tax $$ states in the USA, but has one of the worst records for schools, a HUGE illegal immigration problem, high welfare and Medicaid percentage (perhaps due to the illegals??? - YES!!), extremely uber-liberal state government intent on giving away for free every kind of benefit. Property taxes are so high people cannot pay and have to sell.

    Smog

    Over crowded cities

    Poor highways

What else???? Yes, the scenery outside the cities is very beautiful...deserts, mountains, redwoods, beaches, etc. etc.

All this, but it's so expensive you can't really "live" unless you make $100,000++!!!

We're leaving as soon as we can retire. Not so proud of our "Golden State", which is about as expensive as the price of gold now!!

Born in Iowa, lived in Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, Kentucky, and now live in Oxford, Mississippi. I LOVE them all. I'm at home wherever I hang my hat and give total support to each location.

I agree from Coos Bay, OR

I'm not proud of Rhode Island. If it was at all possible we would move in a heartbeat. After many years of inappropriate use of tax money, we are now going to be taxed on everything including heating oil, coffins, and food.
