My hubby's family has placed their Christmas orders for brownies, peanut butter, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. I'll spend next week making cookies and another baby quilt.

My 2 specialties are Pecan Turtles & Chocolate Covered Cherries. I've also been told my gingersnaps can't be beat.

Me too. I put the pecans on a cold marble slab with 4 small almonds as "legs" and pour melted caramel over each one, then when chilled I pour melted chocolate over the oval blobs.

The chocolate covered cherries rarely last long enough to give as gifts. I adore them, both red and green cherries. Green ones are from fruitcake mixes. Hard, dark chocolate over them, yummy!! I don't like the juice in the commercial ones.

I make fudge each December in rememberance of my brother. He would have been 67 this month. Its his recipe and everyone loves it. We call it "Doc Bell" fudge. I also make my special oat meal cookies with dried cherries and chunks of swiss chocolate and pecans - yum My daughter's request for Christmas.

My favorites are the Russian Tea cakes, DH likes the pumpkin drop as do one or two of the kids. Some of them like the Christmas Trees. Others like the Log Jams and of course everyone likes the Toll House cookies. I make more kinds, but I can't remember what kind just now.

Buckeyes! Hands down my favorite! I made them & froze them before Thanksgiving. I baked quite a bit today & made thumbprint cookies, magic cookie bars, pecan tassies & fudge. Still on my list are chocolate/coconut/pecan haystacks, chocolate dipped pretzels, white chocolate peppermint fudge & I hope my husband makes his molasses cookies.
