Closing ceremonies. Olympians used to be amateurs. Now they spend more time training (not at their expense) than NFL players do. There is big money behind all this even though the athletes don't get "Paid". I'll be glad when the Olympics are over and I can watch my regular programming again.

I was surprised to find I really enjoyed curling, too! Even went on-line to look up the "rules".

Equestrian is on USA and MSNBC. If you look for NBC Equestrian Comp Broadcast Sched on google, you may find it. (daughter sent one to me). Then there is a break until Aug 14th through 19th.

I replied to your original reply up above about equestrian. The cross country, part of the 3-day event is over now, but lots of jumping and other events to watch.

There's talk this year of not including the equestrian disciplines anymore in the Olympics because they don't draw big spectator numbers for the TV stations, but heck...they don't show them! How are they supposed to know whether we'd watch or not?

I also enjoy Michael Phelps.....what a marvelous athlete. My daughter was a swimmer when she was young, and we always hoped she would be in the Olympics someday....but that was not to be. She went to college on a swimming scholarship, but never swims anymore. I love ALL he swimming events, and agree with you all about the gynmasts' uniforms.
