Dyson for four years - no repairs, love it. Took me a little while to learn how to use it though and my husband still complains.

Really it's the best vacuum I have ever used. It's worth the price.
I agree! I love my Dyson. My mother swears by Rainbow though. I don't like emptying the dirty water though.
We've had our Rainbow for 16 years!! LOVE IT! We've tried other kinds but they tore up in just a couple of months-literally! We did have 2 Pugs....they have a double coat-full of HAIR.....and we still have our 5 kids.

I have a Kirby, it works great but heavy as all get out!! I have someone else drag it up the stairs and even vacuum the stairs.

I love my Dyson, too! Lightweight, very maneuverable (easy on my bad back). I would prefer a bag, but it is very easy to empty.

Will have to remember the Dyson next time I am into vacuum shopping.
I have a Rainbow and a Kirby. The Kirby is heavy! I like the Rainbow cause its lighter, easier to pull around and the snap off hose makes it easier to get into corners instead of unhooking everything to plug in hoses, etc., like I have to with the Kirby!

Well - I was thinking that my favorite vacuum cleaner was anyone pushing the thing but me!

My daughter was selling Fairfax vacuum cleaners a long time ago - a very expensive piece of fresh manure!

I have a lot of allergies so I prefer a vacuum with a bag and hepa filters. I can change the bag without having dust flying up in my face and all over the room. My DH has to empty a bagless one and I don't like him breathing in all of that dust either. I also like something light because of my arthritis and osteoporosis. We haven't found one that has all of those features so we have a heavy one with the hepa filters and the bags. It is a Eureka - The Boss.

Love my Dysons. We got the big purple one when we had the big hairy German Shepherd dog. It sucked up a ton of fur. Still used it after doggie went to heaven. Then recently saw the Dyson cordless digital and I splurged on it. I LOVE it! I can do all the floors, hard surface, and carpet on one charge, and it goes from both kinds of floors with no adjustments. And is pretty darn strong. It also changes to a hand held so easy to vacuum furniture. I love that it is cordless. And I have had an Oreck, Dirt Devil, Sharp, and some swiffer vacs. Nothing that I've used compares to a Dyson in my opinion.
