Hi Karen - Welcome from Spring, Texas.

Are you looking for a pattern for the weighted autism quilts or just a puzzle piece pattern? If you need info on the weighted version, please PM me.

    Karen,

You may have already got a pattern by now. I just finished a top to one and it is in the process of being quilted. You can get a free pattern at www.jukeboxquilts.com. I had a difficult time with her methods so I raw edge appliqued it.. She gave permission to raffle it.

I am working on an Autism Quilt for a fundraiser in October. What I did was print coloring pages of various puzzle pieces and embroidered them on bleached muslin in assorted primary colors. I am in the process of joining these blocks together with some fabric that has a black background sprinkled with primary colored puzzle pieces. I plan on quilting around the embroidered puzzle pieces and tying the other squares with primary colored embroidery floss.
That is my vision, and I hope it all comes together as planned. Seems to be alot easier than applique work and looks really nice too. Just finished an awareness ribbon quilt with embroidered purple ribbons for a fundraiser for people with Chiari Malformation!
