HI Kay, My niece and her family lost their house in Bastrop. They went for the first time yesterday to start cleaning up. I am making 2 quilts for her little girls.

I am so sorry. That must be devastating for her and especially her children. It is hard for me to sleep at night seeing all this destruction. I would be glad to stop by and help them anyway I can. Does she have family close? K

Welcome Kay, from west Texas. Our best hopes for recovery in your area. Other than the firefighter quilts, what would you say is your most pressing need?

yes, her family is close. her Mom is in Bastrop, and her sister is in Dallas. Her mom had to go into hospital same week of the fire. In ICU for a few days then surgery to remove a kidney stone. she is home and doing fine. I dont know where they are staying right now. I do know they got a replacement camper and are living in it. some where in town. they have to take the one daughter to school, because it is in a different district. thanks for thinking of them. and all the others.
