Brand new quilter
#1
Hi, I live in the middle of Kansas with my DH and two cats. I've sewn for a few years but nothing too complicated. About a month ago I saw some fabric

I just couldn't resist. It told me it wanted to be made into a quilt for my new niece to be, due date is May 2! Very excited to see her. I found an adorable pattern

and am now sewing on the borders. I haven't even finished my first quilt and I think I'm hooked! I plan on outline quilting it with my walking foot. Wish me luck!

Hi Faren and welcome from Florida. I know you will really enjoy this site. There is a world of information and the most helpful people. If you get stuck sometime. Just ask for help and someone will help. Good luck. :):):)

The Missouri Star Quilt company has some neat video tutorials on youtube that I find very inspirational. I'm really frugal about fabric, but I love that they plainly explain steps, and don't assume you know a lot to begin with.
In any case I'm sure you are and will be brilliant at it. I count myself lucky being entertained :)
