Hello there & Welcome to the Quilting Board from the state of Washington!! We are so glad that you have joined us & we hope that you have just as much fun making your projects, as we do. When I make my quilt's, I always use the Warm & Natural batting. Hope this helps!!

Hi and welcome from New York. There are so many battings to choose from. Do you want poyester, cotton, etc.? Do you want a high or low loft? Check your local quilt shop for some recommendations. I personally like Warm and Natural cotton battings. Sometimes I use 80/20 Hobbs polydown batting.

Greetings from North Dakota. This is such a fun place to find answers for all your questions. I use the Warm and Natural also. But everyone has special likes. Are you going to quilt it yourself? If you are taking it out, ask that person what they use.

Hi welcome from Spring, Texas. I always use Warm and Natural or Warm and White for lighter colored quilts. If she's not going to be laying out in the snow with it one layer is more than enough. If you want it for an emergency car quilt go ahead and double it.
