Hi, Letty. Welcome to the board. I've never done a banner, but I'll bet there's somebody out there who has. Good luck and keep tuning in. We're glad to have you.

Hi Karen, truth to tell I'm not a Yorkshire woman having lived here only nineteen years ! Still I love it and I'm so happy to be here, its where I learnt to sew.I was 50yrs old before I discovered the joy of patchwork and I have made so many friends through the craft, even passing on what skill I have and seeing others come to love it.I'm not sure I'm so popular with husbands ! I've been told by some that their wives have developed strange habits and an ever stranger language, one asked " what ever is a fat quarter?"I'll own up now,not sure what part of South Yorkshire you come from but I hail from the home of Robin Hood-----Nottingham. Thanks to all for your welcome messages Letty

I'm about 13 miles from Sheffield ...not far from the Nottinghamshire border (three of my kids live in Notts)
The question is Letty...can you make a decent Yorkshire pudding? lol!
