Welcome to the QB from North Texas. Looks like youa re getting lots of help. Remember you can buy a little at a time and use coupons from Joann's. And lots of sites on the web to get sales. YOu can read and learn where they are. Have fun exploring.

I'm familiar with Joann's, but I never looked for quilting things in there before.

Hi from Southern CA!
What size mat would you recommend?
Are there any differences between regular straight pins and quilting pins?
Is there any special place you get most of your supplies?
