Fabulous fabric find
#1
I have been lurking for several months now and loving every minute of it. However, today I just had to introduce myself because--yesterday I went to a lqs for 1 yard of fabric and came home with almost 200 yards--FREE. Can you believe it?
Some poor lady who could no longer sew because of health issues brought her entire stash to the lqs and asked them to find a good home for it. I got less than 1/8 of her fabric. Our neighborhood sewing group does charity sewing and now we be in business for a long time. Can't wait for them to see it.
I had to break down and buy 7 yards. Felt bad leaving without purchasing some.HaHa

Welcome to the Board. How fortunate to be in the right place at the right time. Was great of the lady who contributed the fabric to have the foresight to pass it on while she could. I would hate to have to face the reality that I couldn't quilt any longer, it is so relaxing and fulfilling. I'm sure she feels good to know her stash is going for a great purpose.
