As Green As They Come!
#55
Hi from Central Florida and welcome. I'm a newby to this group and have just fallen in love with everyone. Their advice is incredible; I can't think of anywhere else on the web that people can come together and get so much information so QUICKLY! I agree with taking a class at a local quilt shop and don't be afraid to join a guild; they usually bring in great teachers. My first quilt was a Carpenter's Wheel with 'Y' seams; don't even go there as a beginner. Next, an attempt at hand applique; it's still a UFO. Finally, I tried a log cabin with Eleanor Burns book and finished at least a dozen the first year - all gifts except one that I have kept for years. It's well worn and loved, especially by my three little dogs that nap on it while on the sofa.

Hello Sundar, and a very warm welcome from the UK. I remember years ago when I was young I only had to hear the word patchwork and I thought Boring. How wrong was I, it is the most exciting craft I've ever tried, and with all the ideas, photos and tutorials on this board it will never, ever be boring.
