From Oklahoma. I love the tumbling block pattern. But with bold fabric. That is a crazy one to do. But hey when finished it is something else. I did one with Black,Red,pirates, and playing cards. This was for my 26yr son. He loved it and had to show to friends. Now I'm doing more.

Welcome to the club, Sundar. Love the name...it is nice to be different. Different means special, and you most certainly are! Don't let little things get in your way of sewing. I used to begin and toss, begin and scrap, etc. But I've learned anything worth doing is worth doing and redoing until you get it right. All those steps are the ones that make that final quilt/project all the more worthwhile and one of a kind. And like the Navajo, don't worry about something out of line or a bit off center. We are not perfect and should not expect that of ourselves. Just enjoy, take your time and learn. It's all a process. Congratulations for taking the step on your own. I'll look forward to hearing more and seeing your accomplishments as you go along. Stay connected...there are some awesome quilters here and they all are willing to share. Blessings!!!

Hi and Welcome from Massachusetts,
I have been learning about quilting for about 1 1/2 yrs. I started a our church. They have a Prayer Quilt Ministry. We make quilts ahead of time ,and people fill out a request forms for people who are going thru a tough time. It is usually based on someone struggling with a disease or serious injury . The person in need does not have to belong to our church or even believe in God . Wwe do the stitching and God does the rest .
There is always a large cross on the back. Hopefully when they wrap the arms of the cross around themselves they will feel the love of God.
I like the way I got introduced to quilting.
I am sure You will grow to love this messg board . It is as addicting as quilting itself.
Peace....Alice
