Welcome to the boards, Grandma'sgirl, glad to have you here. I'm a little south of you in the Seattle area.
I really envy those of you who come from a family tradition of quilting, I had to get it started in my family

Iceblossom, how wonderful of you to start the tradition in your family! I have seen some of your work! And wow, you have inspired me. While I absolutely love the heritage that was given to me, it also comes with the weight of responsibility. I know it needs to be passed on. The stories, patterns of the familiar quilts, and some of the techniques. When you are the first one, you get to create your own! I certainly will get to that as well, but I think there are good things either way. And Iceblossom, you are making such an inspiring start!

Hello, Bearisgray. I am not surprised that others stumbled across this site, as there is a wealth of information, techniques, and pleasant exchanges on this board. I am certain that I, too, will learn a great deal. Thanks for the greeting and hope to stumble into you again!
