greeting from Massachusetts !
Boy i had a hard time getting registered here and logging in but here I am - finally !
I am an empty nester, mother of 4, the last one left for college this year and I am rediscovering the joy of sewing after a long hiatus. When my girls were small ( I have 3 girls) I sewed extensively for them, mostly holiday dresses and halloween costumes. Began quilting when the oldest when to college and made them all quilts, but took a few years off.
Now that I ahve an empty Bedroom I have transformed it into my sewing room and am quilting like mad.
Bought myself a new Brother CS6000i to replace my beloved old Kenmore,, which unfortunately lost a major bobbin case part which ir irreplacable - tried everywhere and found it online but it didn't fit just right .
Found this board searching for answers to the noise issue with my new machine - still perplexed but the info here has been helpful.
Thanks !

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I have found that the more solid the table, the less noise the machine makes. My machine on a built in desk makes considerably less noise then the machine on my table.
