As a transplanted Coloradoan, I am waving High and Wide from Missouri. Welcome. Your workmanship in your avatar is beautiful--do not doubt that you could sell some of your quilts to help aide your family situation. Blessings and welcome back to the world of quilting.

Welcome from MN. I hope you decide to keep the rest of your fabrics. You won't get for them, what you paid for. You can always make some wall hangings to sell, or donate to a fundraiser. There are other ways to make ends meet, besides selling off your prized possesions.

Checking in from Westminster. Colorado is the healthiest state in the union and the most beautiful place on earth! Don't know where one poster has been in Colorado in winter but it is not "very, very cold." Is the Great American Quilt Factory in the metro area? I've never heard of it. If you have moved to the metro area from out of state or elsewhere in Colorado, there are lots of quilting activities/groups/guilds to join. Best of luck.

Never even had the thought of selling my quilts for money cross my mind!! I will definately keep this in mind if I get to that postion. My problem has always been loving my quilts like my own personal creations (kinda like kids but different) and have a hard time imagining parting with them. I KNOW I'm not the ONLY one!!! The only ones I've ever parted with are ones made with someone in mind. I wouldn't even know which to consider to start with or how to price them. Maybe asking for an outrageous amount of money would help that problem. That way, if someone is actually willing to pay, they would definately appreciate all the hard work and love. lol

Great American Quilt Factory was at the end of Hampden/Hwy 285 near Aurora. Amazing shop, so sad it's gone.

No, you're absolutely right. It isn't very cold here. OK maybe this past winter was a little with school cancellations due to sub-zero temps...but other than that ONE time... It's tolerable, sunny and georgeous most of the winters.
