My grandmother taught me how to hand quilt when I was 18 yrs. old. We began with scissors and a cardboard template for my first 9-patch. I did hand piece two hexagonal tops. They still need to be quilted some 40 yrs. later. Quilting is my passion and I am on the sewing machine or my longarm every day. One of my favorite teachers is Bonnie Hunter. She makes beautiful quilts with scraps of fabric. I hope you are all happily quilting today.
