    Welcome, from Texas!

Just start with something small, with inexpensive fabric . . . and remember it's ONLY FABRIC!

It can't be as bad as the first biscuits I made when learning to cook.....they were so hard the dog couldn't eat them. Just grab a pattern you like for a potholder, a mug rug and go for it. Learn quilting on these miniatures and it is not as overwhelming. Welcome from Vermont.

Hello Mary, welcome from northern California! I felt the same way and finally made a wall hanging. Just that much progress helped my confidence. Find a simple pattern for something small and you will be on your way!

Oh dear, there's nothing to be afraid of. Just make one block and I'm sure you'll love it! If you're really afraid to use the machine for piecing your block(s), you can hand piece them. That's how I started because I was terrible at matching things on the machine. You can do it! And welcome from WI!

Hello and welcome from Australia. Just start with something small and not too complicated and most of all just enjoy it.
