Hello from Beautiful BC
I made my first quilt in the 80's from a Quilt in a Day pattern I bought from Canadian Living Magazine. It was an Around the World tied quilt. It still looks good, but of course the colours are really dated. 10 years ago I made a few rag quilts.
I am almost finished my first quilt top using precuts.
I work full time, have three kids, one who has left the nest the other two are teens, and a dh who has 3 businesses. Not much time left for me and my projects, but I find a few minutes here and there to sew.
I have been sewing clothes since 1985.
I am lucky to have a Janome 11000, serger, coverpro and a few more basic sewing machines.
My garment fabric stash is huge, but other than one tote of quilting flannels for rag quilts, I do not yet have a quilt fabric stash.
I am very lucky to have a very good friend who is an excellent quilter when I need help. The local quit gild meets when I work, so I cannot attend it.
