I am circa 1950 so the Jubilae is 3 years older than me!
Loved the ROI, land of my grandparents but the soggy weather got the better of my husband's health.
My daughter who has a French degree met her French husband in Ireland when they both worked for a U.S. internet company.....they followed us here for the sun and I now have a totally bilingual 4 year old granddaughter. Isn't life strange? I haven't quilted 'properly' for ages but plan to make a quilt for Sophie after I've finished edging old blankets etc. for local animal shelter. Thanks for the warm welcome, I feel at home already.
(especially for Iceblossom) re 'where you live'......just getting the hang of the forum.

Welcome from Missouri. My family spent 4 years in France while my father was stationed there in 1954. Loved the villages, winding roads, stone fences. This is a great board for quilting and friendships. So glad you can join us.
