Hello from Bonnie Scotland
Hi everyone - I'm a newbie to the forum and new to quilting.
As you may have guessed from my name I'm a knitter and until a couple of years ago couldn't thread a sewing machine! The only sewing I had ever done was to sew up knitted garments.
I've quickly become addicted to quilting, appliqué in particular - although I'm not sure if you actually call it appliqué as I HATE hand sewing and only machine stitch .
It's been a steep learning curve and I've learned lots from the more experienced members in my group such as, "Better to be finished than perfect", the "Three foot rule" and "There's no such thing as mistakes, only design opportunities" and my favourite (UK spelling, lol ), "There are no quilt Police".
I'm looking forward to learning even more from you guys!
