Well everyone, you have gotten my excitement going! I have been reading the boards for a while, and looking at all your lovely projects you have posted, and I'm ready to jump right in and start. I am a real newbie, I did take a 6 week class from our local extension office a couple a years ago, and complete a quilt the best I could at the time. But did not continue as I had other committments. This past weekend I purchased a Singer Quilter, took a beginners sewing class and completed a project. Yes I am that new, I had to learn the real basics. I made a zippered quilted shoe bag (that's what the project was called) Finshed item looks more like a mans shaving kit, but with pretty frabic.
So now I stopped at the LQS and asked about when the next beginners claass would be, and that is in September. But she showed me the quilt they do 9 patch, and they take you all the way through to machine sewing. I am excited~ I have purchased several quting books, and I'm starting to grow my stash. I can't wait to start on some small projects and they advance to a quilt of our bedroom.
Thank you all for getting my interests peaked and getting me motivated.
