:) Hi there, this is my very first post. My name is Linda and I'm from central Canada. I've been quilting for 5 years and I just love it. I piece on a Janome 6600P and I also have a Janome 11000 which is quite a machine and a Jem Platinum 760 for classes and quilting retreats.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Linda

Hello, quilting Diva. I just joined the board, too.
So I say welcome to you.
I have a Janome 9700, that I just bought.
I haven't really sewn much on it yet,
just some practice stitches, but I think I'm really gonna like it.
Only had it a couple of weeks.
:)

Welcome from the midwest (Missouri). You'll find that this board can become very adticting. I usually check in here before I even check my email. Everyone here is very friendly and informative. Please post some pics of your quilts. We all love to see what others are doing.

Hi Quilting Diva
I am new to quilting - so new I don't even have any equipment or materials yet! :)
I have got a couple of books out of the library though - one is great for me as a beginner - Start Quilting by Celia Eddy - there are some beautiful designs in it!
I stopped off in Winnipeg for about an hour and half on my honeymoon in late April/early May - we got the Canadian train from Toronto to Vancouver and there was a scheduled stop in Winnipeg! We just had time to visit a covered market near the railway station and that was it. I loved Canada and can't wait to visit again.

Just to mention since you are new to quilting that I took my first quilting course a couple of years ago from quiltuniversity.com. I took the beginner class. I really learned a lot and liked that I could print all the lessons off the computer and do them on my own time with my own machine at home. You might look into it. It is not expensive. Sunflower
