One of the nice things about the snow here in Colorado Springs is that it typically doesn't last for more than a few days. A lot of times the northern and southern part of the city get more snow than I do. I live in what is basically the middle of the city. Since I am retired, if I look outside and see snowflakes, I can usually change my schedule and enjoy the snow from the comfort of my easy chair! I hope your daughter and her family enjoy living here.

There are five great quilt shops here. I visit Ruth's Stitchery, High Country Quilts, LadyBug Quilts, NaNa's (in Old Colorado City, next to/part of Colorado Springs), and NaLa's Quilt Shop (in Fountain, which is right next door to Colorado Springs). We also have Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's which have some good fabrics. Let me know when you are coming and I can get the addresses for you so you can MapQuest them for directions.
