Hello from the beautiful sunset coast of Michigan! I've made several t-shirt quilts.
Just make sure that you use your iron a lot, it will help with the wonky-ness.

Welcome from Southern California where it's overcast, but will reach into the high 80s today. A great day for sewing! You've had some good suggestions for your t-shirt quilt, and another one is to check youTube. When I'm doing something new, that's where I go. Like the Quilting Board, it's a fabulous resource. We are so lucky to have them both!
