    Hi, there.

Thanks for the welcome. It seems there's quite a few of us on the Board. That's great to hear.

How lucky are you - travelling extensively through France.
It is a gorgeous place. I think Paris might be the most beautiful city I have been to - running in front of Venice and Vienna, perhaps in that order.

I always watch The Tour, as I think a lot of people do even if they're not interested in bicycle racing, because it's such a fantastic travelogue of the French countryside, not to mention all those stately homes and castles.

Unfortunately, I wasn't a quilter when I was there (about 35 years ago - way too long ago) so I have no French fabrics in my stash. I will go back and get some one day.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, there.

Thanks for the welcome. It's great to be here. I'm having a lot of fun already - and I haven't even gone looking for tips and hints and information yet.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks for the welcome.

You're right: it was an amazing trip.

My stash is all sitting in wire baskets, sorted mostly by colour. And then there are the "treasures" from the US and Canada, that are all in a special basket on their own.

I will post a picture when I re-read the instructions on how to do that.

Suffice to say, we were gone for about three months. We shipped a couple of boxes of winter clothes and books home while we were still away; but I kept the suitcase full of fabrics with me all the way.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks for the welcome.

I'm having a great time already. It's great to be among this many fellow quilters, as you tend to feel a bit isolated down here.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, there.

    Thanks for the welcome greeting.

I'm having a great time already. It's amazing to know that there are so many fellow quilters out there. Down here there tends to be not quite so many, and you kind of have to hunt out the quilt stores. If there's one in your town you can count yourself lucky.

I went to Kansas City years ago to a Court Reporters Convention. I remember it rained very heavily and the water poured into the foyer of the hotel. It was one of the great big ones, but I can't remember which one.
I had a fabulous time, but unfortunately didn't see all that much of Kansas. Maybe next time.

My stash is a bit mid-west deficient, so I'll have to do something about that.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, there.

Thanks for the welcome message. It sure is a great place to get to know quilters from all over - even a few from this part of the world. I'm having a great time already.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, there.

Thanks for the welcome from Sunny Florida.

Florida was just beautiful. We stayed in Fort Lauderdale.
DH has a cousin who lives there, so he showed us all around.

I think I mostly enjoyed the trip through the Keys. Just yesterday I wore the T-shirt I bought on the beach at Key West, though I only wear it when I go out - yes, you guessed it: another treasure.

I have quite a few T-shirts from other travels, rock concerts, Australian Open Tennis, Sydney Olympics, etc. When they finally call it a day I have plans to make a
    T-shirt quilt.

Hope to get back to Florida again some day and buy another one.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, there.

    Thanks for the welcome.

We didn't make it to Ontario this time. Too busy driving round British Columbia. It's such a huge country.

I am looking forward to learning and chatting, and it's happening already. It's great fun.

    Thanks again.

    Hi, Carolyn.

    Thanks for the greeting.

It's nice to know there are a few of us out there.

Love the hibiscus pic attached to your name. It's gorgeous. I have a deep red one in my garden down here and I will it to flower. But I don't think Melbourne is really the ideal spot. But I will continue to feed it and water it and talk to it, and hope for the best.

    Thanks again.
