Wow that was some trip. My dad lived in Sidney for awhile as a child. His family migrated there from Glasgow, Scotland. He absolutely loved Sidney. Always talked of going back but sadly never got to. Of course he told us so much that we hope to go one day. Welcome to the page - I'm a very new quilter and really enjoy looking at all the quilts everyone has made. I just started in January and have gotten quite a stash myself. Its addicting!!

Another local quilter. That is so good. I'm in Newport. And you're right, I was lucky to go to America. Our trip was in large part driven by DH, the trout fisherman, who was a desperado to go to Alaska during the salmon run they have there, and Big Sky Montana. It excites me all over again just thinking about it.
I love the message at the bottom of your posts: that is so true. And these days you're stuck with the passport for ten years. That is so bad because the photos are, without exception, dreadful.
It looks like I will see either you or Rainy Day at the Quilt Show, so I will keep you posted and see if I can find either of you. That would be fun.
Thanks for the greeting.

Hello Aussiequilter - glad to make your acquaintance so close to home - I had to travel the world to find Aussie quilters  And to all the other Melbournians on your page, "hello" - I did stop by there in January 1983 waiting for the ferry on my Tasmanian holiday, but you weren't there to greet me  Sorry about that, but now we know of each other, we must be nice
Here in my part of WA (18kms SE of Perth) we have only a small quilting shop so I need to drive almost an hour for a major quilt shop. I look forward to seeing some of your projects along the way. :-)
