Hello, Ada Shiela,
Great to hear from a quilter in Western Australia.
Sorry to hear it's been so long since you were in Melbourne on your way to Tasmania. DH and I have done a few trips down there. It's a beautiful place, and I have often wondered about how difficult it is for people in Far North Queensland and also from your part of the country to visit there, and how lucky we are in Melbourne in that it costs us not much in terms of time and money compared to you guys. I hope you enjoyed it a lot.
It sounds like, all in all, it's time you did the trip again and this time I will be there to meet you.

Hello Deecee, in the beautiful Yarra Valley.
Can't say I've noticed all that many quilt shops out there; but then again, when I've been out there it's usually to accompany DD to Wandin Park or Glenbrae on some equestrial sojourn.
However, she has gone to Sydney to live now, horse and all (although she did leave us with her cat, but that's another issue), so I'll have more time now to get priorities in order.
Maybe I'll see you out there.

Hello Ausiequilter
Yes, time for another holiday I think - that was a coach camping trip to Tas and first time I did many things in my lifetime, such as sleeping in a tent, under the stars etc - very educating and pleasant-lovely little place!! Sadly finances make it out of the question and the fact that my body is falling apart; don't have anyone to share another trip with either, but I can watch documentaries of our beautiful country - nice to think you would be there waiting if I did manage to get over again. My older son is trying to get me to go to Bali with him, but if I can't walk around to enjoy the place, then can't see the point

Greetings from another West Aussie....Our numbers are increasing every day. Would love to see some of your work. Now don't forget, all that fabric you got on your US trip is not for looking at...be brave...pattern, rotary cutter...some creative genius...quilt. Then you can justify going back for another shopping trip. Happy quilting.
