Hello from Northern Germany! It's nice to have another European quilter here. I'm also very interested in your spoon quilting technique...

Greetings from Sacramento California. It sounds like the spoon method may be similar to the "Aunt Becky" method of quilting. It uses a tool that you lift up and drop down in quick succession and it picks up the stitches. The needle doesn't move. Well - when I do it, the needle still moves. I am hopeless. lol

    Happy quilting

Since Hetty is probably in bed right now time difference, I looked up spoon quilting. Jinny Beyer has a tip about it on her website. You use a spoon under the quilt instead of getting your fingers stuck with needle you push up with the spoon to quilt.
