Welcome from another Brit - although I have lived in Africa for many years. I am planning a visit to UK in September and hope to catch the exhibition of African quilts put on by Magie Relph at the York museum of quilts - do you know it? This will be my first visit but I hear its a great place.

Spoon quilting is wonderful. My s-i-l is an expert and wins all the awards in the Zimbabwe quilt Guild for her fantastic hand quilting using this method. She has just been staying with me in Nairobi giving quilting classes including teaspoon quilting and all our ladies were very keen.
