What a great group of folks this is!
To introduce myself, I retired from teaching in May and gave myself permission to be a quilter as a retirement gift. I have sewed all my life and made small projects that could be considered quilting, but I didn't want to take the full plunge until I had more time. I'm here now and thoroughly enjoying myself, but I'm having trouble focusing on one thing at a time. I want to do machine applique, machine quilting, piecing, landscape quilting, ..... Boy is this fun!!

Hello and welcome from Central Vermont from a quilter who owns land in Soldotna on the Kenai peninsula!! We LOVE our adopted second state and plan to spend a month next summer touring around with our lot and an RV as home base. Haven't been to Fairbanks yet, so may have to contact you later for a meet up at a local quilt shop!!

Welcome to the Board. I'll be in your neck of the woods in mid September but just for a day. We'll be on the tail end of a cruise then to Denali for a couple of days, then flying out of Fairbanks. I can't wait to visit Alaska.
