    Welcome, I agree start simple and don't fret mistakes, you will get better as you learn. Do simple blocks to start

    Welcome to the Quilting Board. This is a wonderful place with an abundance of information and helpful quilters. I am a beginner also and have found the people on here very helpful. Also, watching youtube videos on anything quilting will help. There are thousands on there.
