    I know where that is!
My inlaws live in Independence, have an aunt in law in Coffeyville and sis in law was in Cherryvale.
Small towns are nice, but no way I could live there

    WELCOME from sunny California! ;-)
My oldest son also has a Koi pond. He really enjoys working on it.

    Hi Grama L.
Yes, I too really enjoy working on mine, or just sitting next to it watching the fish. Very relaxing! Course it's too hot right now to be outside sitting by it during the day. I have lights set up around the pond, two that shines on the waterfall and 6 in the water, so I can watch the fish at nite and I enjoy watching them at nite. Especially when I have some shrimp to feed them; they really go wild!
I am glad to have found such a friendly community of people.
    Jack

Small towns are nice, but I need something that doesn't roll up their sidewalks at 5pm.
I might be out in that area during Neewollah. If I am, I'll let you know. We could meet up for some coffee or something. In laws live right on Main St in Indy and we usually just walk over to the big corner to watch the parade
