Thank you all, I have some fabric ordered, still need to get a belt for the treadle machine, but figure I can start cutting the squares once I get the fabric and have time to get the belt later. Course, I'll need to do some practice sewing on it and familiarize myself with it once more, as it's been DECADES since I last used it. Going to have to see if there's adjustments on it for thread tension, and the length of the stitches. I would very much like to get a Janome, but that will come later,
Thank you Carol, no, I hadn't joined the quilting board yet, just the yahoo group. As a matter of fact, I found out about the quilting board from your email. Thank you. This is a very good site for learning and help from friendly people.
Have been told I have a midwest accent, it probably comes through in my written statements as well.
