Hello from Manitoba
Hi. I just found this board yesterday. This seems like a great place to meet new quilters and make more quilting friends. I am still working almost full time so do not get to spend as much time quilting as I would like to but retirement will come some day LOL. I have five children and two grandchildren who are the joy of my life. They are all grown up and out of the house and I took over the rec room in the basement for a sewing studio. Unfortunately we had a flood two years ago and had to gut the basement. I managed to get all my quilting supplies and fabric out but still have not refinished the floors and walls. The quilting stuff is all back down there but the area is just not quite a `finished`or pretty as it used to be. Still I don`t have to set up on the kitchen table so that is a bonus. I have one son in the Canadian Armed Forces and am starting to do Quilts of Valor for the soldiers. As many quilters I have a huge UFO list and the last couple of years I have said I am not starting anything new until I have finished some. That plan has not worked out quite the way it should have but the pile is getting smaller (slowly). Looking forward to meeting others!

Welcome to the board. You'll like it. I have learned a lot with the tips and tricks. When you get your sewing room back the way you want you must post some photos and we would love to see your work.

Welcome from Quebec City!
Interesting projects that you have, to make quilts of Valor. this is a project I have too. I yet have to find the information on the web. When you have time, show us some pictures of your quilts. It's always fun and nice source of inspiration.
