Thanks Eddie, I hadn't heard of this organization before. I'm deffinitly going to check out the website. Great since we don't have to buy the fabric. Do you machine quilt these afer you piece them? Longarm quilters are pretty expensive I can't afford to have the quilts I donate quilted. Longarm quilting looks to complacated for me. I don't think I could ever get the hang of it. LOL Besides I don't have a place to set up the machine. Keep that sewing machine turned on. :) Pieces

Hi, I live in a seaside town on the east coast of South Africa. I have been quilting for 30 years...(or more!) was introduced to quilting by American friends who were living in South Africa. Make from king size to cot size - love to hand quilt - as I am one of those who needs to have something to do with my hands of an evening. Have an Elna Quilters Dream machine and also do some machine free hand quilting with this. This is the first time I have gone onto a "chat" line........never too old to learn!

Goodness, Did not think I would get a reply so soon. Am busy the some hand applique, which is easy to pack, this necessary, asour eldest daughter and son-in-law have sent us air tickets to fly from Durban to Lanseria (Johannesburg) and then are treating us to 5 days at Sun City Resort (look it up on the net).
will be back home on the 10th Feb. Funny how the wheel turns and now we have kids giving us treats!!!
PS. Our grandson, Michael Ryan Clatworthy is at Oklahoma University - he is on the golf team and graduates in May after 4 years away. It has been a wonderful experience for him and his grades have been pretty good too.

Hi - Am trying to negotiate round the web site. Have not been successful in putting up a pic or two. Will give it a bash and hope it works. I know about quilting/patchwark/ applique ec but laptops and the web are new to me, but I am determined to get a handle on it and be connected to our wonderful world of quilters. (Must find out who the Smilies work !) ;-)
