Welcome nerdygerdy, from St. Louis! I was born in Detroit Lakes and lived in Becker County until age 7 and moved to Milwaukee! Still have kin up in the north land! Great that you found us!
I just recently viewed the movie Fargo for the first time! It sure did bring back memories of the flat land up there and how much snow there was! Used to go back every summer to visit grandparents and cousins.

I was born in Chicago but raised in Truman, Mn. Is that anywhere near you? Still have a daughter in Mankato works for the Judicial Courts System and one is a Nurse Practitioner at Mayo in Rochester.
Welcome to this site. You will love it. I look forward to it all the time and read and absorb as much of the info as possible, copy the websites to my favorites, ooooh and ahhh over all the pics and learn a lot in the process.
I now live in Sunny Southern California just north of San Diego. Much better than shoveling all that snow.
