elemental56, Welcome to the board. There are a few of us that have Gracie frames & one suggestion I'll make is to start out with a couple of sheets or whole cloth with some thin batting (like warm & natural). Practice some of the patterns & some free motion stippling or meandering. It's easier to practice on whole cloth & get a little practice in before you start on a quilt that you have hours into just making the top. Hope that helps?!
