There are two fantastic quilt shops in Syracuse ... which is less than an hour from you....Mission Rose Quilltery In north Syracuse and Calico Gals off Teal Ave in Syracuse...Don't forget Patchwork Plus on Route 20 in Marcellus...Tiger Lily in Utica!!! You just need to take a day to shop!! You'll find lots of places .. Perhaps the one shop you are referring to is Dreamcrafters??? which is fantastic as well!

Hi Margaret, from CNY member. There is a neat store in Potsdam called Misty Hollow. It is a craft store that carries some fabric and sewing notions. If you knit, they have some nice yarns. Anyways, it is a rather unique store that has just about every craft imaginable and the folks who own & run it are delightful. I found it to be a refreshing change from the chain stores ... has the "Mom & Pop" feel to it. But if you take a road trip south on Rt 81, Mission Rose is easy to find on Rt 11 in No Syracuse has a huge selection of quilt fabric and it is well worth the trip. Calico Gals is also in town, but their selection is small compared to Mission Rose.
